SAFARI OVERVIEW

Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Tanzania with this 5-day wildlife safari, offering a diverse mix of national parks, a mountain hike, and a rejuvenating experience. This itinerary takes you from the wildlife haven of Mkomazi National Park to a day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by the iconic Tarangire National Park, and culminates with a visit to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.

SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Relax and unwind at Arusha Serena Hotel, where you can prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead.

Day 2: Mkomazi National Park

Early in the morning, set off for Mkomazi National Park. The park, located in northern Tanzania, is known for its populations of African wild dogs and black rhinos. Spend the day on game drives, exploring the diverse landscapes and observing the unique wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. In the evening, return to Mkomazi Wilderness Retreat for overnigh

Day 3: Kilimanjaro Day Hike

Embark on a full-day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak. Starting from the Marangu Gate, hike through lush rainforest, encountering various flora and fauna. Enjoy panoramic views and the fresh mountain air. After the hike, return to Arusha in the evening for another restful night at Arusha Serena Hotel.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. Spend the day on game drives, witnessing the park’s abundant wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. In the evening, continue to Karatu for an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Farm House, where you can relax and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater and Back to Arusha

Early in the morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to a dense population of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and the elusive serval cat. Explore its unique ecosystem and enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater. After the game drive, drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight or to your hotel for an overnight stay, marking the end of your safari adventure.
