DAY 1: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Your safari begins in Arusha, where you will meet your guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. The drive offers scenic views of local villages, open savannah, and Maasai landscapes, giving you a glimpse into everyday life in northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at the park, you will immediately notice its unique beauty, dominated by ancient baobab trees and wide-open plains.

You will enjoy a full-day game drive exploring Tarangire’s diverse habitats. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen near the Tarangire River, along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and predators such as lions. After a picnic lunch in the bush, continue your afternoon game drive before heading to Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This journey is filled with breathtaking views of rolling highlands and vast landscapes that gradually open into the endless plains of the Serengeti. Along the way, you may spot wildlife and Maasai herders with their cattle.

Upon entering the Serengeti, you will begin your first exciting game drive in one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. The park is home to the Big Five and an incredible variety of animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of grazers. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration. In the evening, arrive at KumbuKumbu Tented Camp for dinner and overnight in the heart of the wilderness.

This day is dedicated to exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. You will start with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active, offering the best chance to see predators such as lions and leopards in action. The golden morning light also creates perfect conditions for photography and unforgettable safari moments.

After breakfast or with a packed lunch, continue with extended game drives across different areas of the park. You will encounter a wide range of wildlife, from large elephant herds to graceful antelopes and abundant birdlife. In the late afternoon, return to your camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight, enjoying the magical atmosphere of the African bush under the stars.

After an early breakfast, you will depart the Serengeti and travel toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, enjoy a final game drive as you exit the park, with more chances to spot wildlife in the early morning hours.
