DAY 1: Zanzibar to Serengeti

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning transfer to the airport in Zanzibar, where you board a scenic light aircraft flight bound for Serengeti National Park. As you leave the Zanzibar behind, the landscape transforms dramatically into vast golden savannahs dotted with acacia trees, your first glimpse of Africa.

Upon landing at the Serengeti airstrip, your professional safari guide will greet you warmly and brief you before your first thrilling game drive begins immediately. The central Serengeti (Seronera region) is famous for its year-round wildlife concentration, making it one of the best places in Africa to spot predators. Within a short time, you may encounter prides of lions resting under trees, elephants moving in herds, or giraffes gracefully browsing the treetops.

Around midday, you’ll pause at a scenic picnic spot to enjoy lunch surrounded by Serengeti Acacia trees afterward, continue exploring the plains, tracking wildlife and learning about the ecosystem from your expert guide. The afternoon game drive offers excellent opportunities to spot cheetahs, hyenas, and possibly a leopard hidden in the branches.

As the golden African sun begins to set, you’ll drive to your lodge or tented camp, where a warm food and refreshing drink await. Relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and soak in the sounds of the wilderness under a sky filled with stars.

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a full day of wildlife exploration in Serengeti National Park. Today is dedicated to maximizing your safari experience, giving you the best chance to witness dramatic wildlife encounters.

The Serengeti’s endless plains are home to one of the highest concentrations of predators in Africa. Your guide will carefully track animal movements, leading you to exciting sightings such as lions on a hunt, cheetahs sprinting across the savannah, or large herds of elephants crossing your path. You’ll also see zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife.

Depending on the time of year, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth. From December to March, gather in the southern plains for calving season. Between June and October, dramatic river crossings occur in the western and northern Serengeti.

You can choose to enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch in the bush, allowing uninterrupted wildlife viewing, or return to camp for a short rest before heading out again in the afternoon. This flexibility ensures your safari matches your pace and comfort.

As evening approaches, return to your camp to unwind. Share stories around the campfire, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and relax in the peaceful wilderness atmosphere.

Your final day begins with an optional early morning game drive, one of the most rewarding times to be on safari. As the sun rises over the plains, predators such as lions and leopards are still active, offering incredible before they retreat from the heat

of the day.

The soft morning light also provides perfect conditions for photography, capturing the beauty of the Serengeti in its most magical state. This is your last chance to spot any animals you may have missed and to fully appreciate the vastness of this iconic landscape.

After returning to camp for breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. As you take off, enjoy one last aerial view of the Serengeti plains, a fitting to an unforgettable safari experience.Upon arrival in Zanzibar, a transfer will take you back to your hotel, where you can continue your beach holiday or prepare for your onward journey.
